Started junel birth control and bad cramps

I’ve never had period cramps in my life that I can remember. I started Junel birth control and today starts my 3rd week on it. I woke up this morning crunches over with severe cramps and feels like labor contractions all most. I have no clue what’s normal and what’s not. I haven’t been on birth control for 10 years until now. I am on day 3 of my period and currently struggling. Please help

I wouldn’t do the birth control then, it’s probably messing with your uterus. If your body isn’t used to them, your body might not adjust well to it

My roomie used Junel for a short while and had to stop because of severe cramping. See if your doc will switch brands. Hormones might be too strong also.
