Mirena IUD removal

Hello everyone! So I got my Mirena IUD removed a bit over 2 weeks ago after having it for about 4 1/2 years. I didn’t bleed right away it took about 2 to 3 days before I got my first periods. They seemed normal and lasted a few days. Everything seemed pretty normal to me. Now, since yesterday I haven’t been feeling well at all. Very heavy bleeding, filling up my diva cup level 1 every hour or so and have been feeling very weak. It is very dark, lots of blood clots and the blood seems very thick and heavy. Has anyone else experienced a similar experience as mine after their Mirena IUD removal?

i've never had an iud but i've heard stories of people who have bled a lot after their iud has been removed. if it's really bad maybe you should see a doctor

Haven’t had IUD but if bleeding is extremely heavy, large clots & for multiple days with no sign of easing, go see your GP, there is a prescription drug available to stop the bleeding...
I was originally given it instructed to take 2 tablets, 3 times a day but due to prolonged severity GP upped it to 3 tablets, 3 times a day & blood tests as well
